The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regards to the large range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is SRD to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area on a daily basis. The services position produced for intervention experiences a higher influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to empower the servicing of all prospects and improve use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
